Rapper and actor Ludacris is turning his life story into a TV show. Ludacris is producing a currently untitled dramedy based on his early career for the streaming service BET+.

The streamer says that the series is based on the experience Ludacris had while “coming up in the competitive music scene in Atlanta as DJ Chris Lova Lova.” The focus of the series will be the “misadventures of a sharply drawn ensemble who are willing to do anything and everything to bolster ratings at their hip hop radio station.”

Ludacris serves as executive producer and musical supervisor on the project, while Noah Gardenswartz, who is known for his work on the comedy series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, will write the pilot. Further details about the dramedy remain unknown.

Ludacris started as an intern and DJ at Atlanta’s Hot 97.5 radio station in the late 1990s. During that time, Ludacris met famed music producer Timbaland and ended up providing vocals for Timbaland’s album Tim’s Bio: Life from da Bassment on the track “Phat Rabbit”.

In 1999, Ludacris would go on to release his debut studio effort, Incognegro. Since then, he has released eight more albums, the latest being 2015’s Ludaversal. The Champaign, Illinois-born rapper also has a successful acting career, notably portraying Tej Parker in the Fast & Furious film franchise.
