Lizzo recently joined a lengthy list of celebrities who were immortalized as a character in the iconic animated sitcom The Simpsons. The Grammy Award winner was so delighted with this that she decided to share exclusive footage on social media before the episode even officially aired.

Lizzo appears in the 34th season’s finale “Homer’s Adventure Through the Windshield Glass“, which is set to premiere on May 21. Besides voicing a cartoon version of herself, she also lends a voice to Homer Simpson’s “elf spirit guide”.

In a clip shared by Lizzo on Instagram, the rapper’s character is shown recording voiceovers with Homer in the studio while Bart and Lisa are serving as directors. At one point, Bart starts slapping Homer for sound effects and produces a beat that encourages a jam session from Lizzo and Lisa.

“Every Icon has been on @thesimpsons — now I can add my name to the list! Thank you to the whole team for making this a dream come true,” wrote Lizzo in the caption of the video.

Lizzo also shared a photo from the episode’s couch gag.

Appearing in The Simpsons is not Lizzo’s first animated project. She previously starred in Adult Swim’s animated sitcom Brad Neely’s Harg Nallin’ Sclopio Peepio and had a voice role in Kelly Ashbury-directed animated musical UglyDolls.
