Arctic Monkeys decided to treat their fans with some new music unveiling new and previously unreleased track “Anyways.” The song will serve as the B-side of “Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino” 7-inch single, which arrived on November 30th.

Those who liked the band’s latest studio album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, will enjoy a slow and chill feel of “Anyways,” while those who hoped for something that sounds like Arctic Monkeys five years ago, will probably be disappointed.

Hear the song below.

Arctic Monkeys announced “Anyways” back in October, when they presented a new mini-documentary Warp Speed Chic which was filmed and directed by Ben Chappell. The documentary saw Cappell following the band in the studio during the recording of their new album and witnessing the process of making songs first-hand.

After the release of Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino and subsequent tour, the members of Arctic Monkeys have taken a break and focused on other ventures. The band’s drummer Matt Helders decided to use the time off for his solo project, and is currently working on a new album. According to Helders, the record will be inspired by the works of horror filmmaker John Carpenter.
