Linkin Park has reportedly started discussing the possibility of making new music for the first time after the death of Chester Bennington.

Since Bennington’s untimely death in 2017, the band has understandably been in an indefinite hiatus. Now though, the DJ Joe Hahn has revealed to Korea newspaper Yonhap that the band has been talking about the idea of reuniting in the future to make some more music together.

“The members are taking care of themselves and their families and are going through the problems in their own way,” Joe Hahn explained. “And… Now the band has started talking about making new music together.”

When prompted to give more details about the chance of new music, Hahn admitted that it will probably quite a long way off.

“Maybe in about 10 years? (Laughs) It might be sooner,” he said. “I don’t want to set a deadline. We just want to focus on the present and talk about music. We aren’t discussing detailed plans. I just want to go back to those days when I made music in the warehouse.”

Whenever or if ever Linkin Park does decide to make music again, they will have our full support.
