It appears that Lil Wayne might have plenty of new music to offer his fans in the near future. While making a video call appearance on UFC Live over the weekend, the New Orleans rapper confirmed he is planning to release a new No Ceilings mixtape and a new Tha Carter album.

After chatting about MMA with UFC Live host Michael Eaves, Wayne was asked about his upcoming projects. This is when he decided to drop an exciting exclusive.

“Carter VI coming soon,” said Wayne at one moment. “But, I got No Ceilings coming first. No Ceilings 3.”

These two releases would round up a busy year for Wayne, considering that he already had one full-length album, Funeral, out in 2020. The release hit No.1 on US Billboard, although most critics felt indifferent about it.

Wayne presented the first entry in the No Ceilings series at the height of his popularity in 2009, gifting the project to fans as a free download.  The sequel, which surfaced six years later, in 2015, followed the same recipe. Both mixtapes received positive reviews.

Tha Carter album series, on the other hand, spanned five entries so far. The latest, chart-topping Tha Carter V, was released in September 2018.
