Lil Nas X became one of the biggest breakout stars of 2019 thanks to the enormous success of his smash hit “Old Town Road,” and he’s not going anywhere next year.
The young rapper recently hinted he’s ready to drop some “new bangers” next year.
Lil Nas X shared an Instagam poll that posed a simple question to his fans – “Who ready for new bangers in 2020??!!” The poll offered two answers – “me” and “me but in red” – which means he’ll be dropping new music next year, whether you want it or not.
The 20-year-old rapper previously revealed he’s already working on his new album, but he doesn’t intend to share it with the world until he’s 100% sure it’s really amazing.
“It’s pretty great, but I’m not going to stop until it’s absolutely incredible. I want to keep it a little more under wraps for now, but I’m working with a lot of new people. I’m most proud of being able to work with Pharrell,” said the rapper in an interview with LA Times.
Lil Nas X released his first EP titled 7 back in June, and received an Album of the Year nod at the upcoming Grammy ceremony. He’ll be competing in another five categories, including Best New Artist.
