Lewis Capaldi made quite a splash with his album Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent, and there’s more where that came from! The British hitmaker teased the release of the extended version of his sophomore studio album, featuring five additional songs.

Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent produced UK No. 1 singles “Forget Me”, “Pointless” and “Wish You the Best”, ahead of its release in May last year, and created quite a commotion once it hit the shelves. It became the fastest-selling album of 2023 in the UK at the time of its debut, in addition to topping the charts in several more countries.

Capaldi announced an indefinite break from touring due to health issues following its release but recently revealed he’d always hoped to drop an extended version at some point.

“After some back-and-forth about whether or not it was the right thing to do, I’ve decided it would be a shame for these five extra songs, which are so incredibly special to me, to sit on my hard drive, never to see the light of day,” said Capaldi in a statement on social media.

He also addressed his plans for the future and said he’s going to continue taking care of himself, writing new music, and reflecting on some of the most incredible years of his life.
