Christine & The Queens has breathe new life into The Bee Gees’ classic track “Stayin’ Alive.” The French singer-songwriter just shared a cover of the 1977 disco hit, giving it an intriguing pop-leaning makeover but keeping the contagious energy of the original.

Christine & The Queens initially covered a pair of The Bee Gees tracks, “Stayin’ Alive” and “Night Fever,” during a performance at the Cannes Film Festival back in the summer. The performance became a talking point on social media, encouraging the “Tilted” singer to do a proper studio rendition of “Stayin’ Alive.”

The cover also comes with a music video, which was shot in Venice over the course of a couple of days and directed by Christine & The Queens.

“Made in a few days, in an emergency with fabulous friends, generous strangers, the inhabitants of Venice the beautiful, this is our fond farewell to 2023 our PUNK gesture for a better future, see you soon, Chris,” they said in press release shared alongside the video.

Christine & The Queens released its fourth studio album, Paranoia, Angels, True Love, back in March. The record, which consists of 3 LPs, was met with widespread critical acclaim and referred to as a “masterpiece” by some reviewers.
