Grammy Award-winning American singer Lauryn Hill embarked on a tour across Europe in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of her seminal record The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill just recently but already faced some criticism. She showed up two hours late for both shows in Brussels and in Paris, which drew massive criticism from the public and media on the 43-year-old.

Hill now decided to address her late showings, apologizing for the delays and justifying them with production challenges of organizing concert on a new continent.

“We’re working through the kinks of moving the production to Europe, with time changes and curfew restrictions, we’ve had a few challenges in these early shows,” – Hill wrote on Twitter. “With deep gratitude, I come on stage to perform an album that means so much to so many. Every day we push past inertia to present something sincere. Thank you for coming, supporting and for your patience and understanding.”

Lauryn Hill kicked off her celebratory tour in July, performing live shows across North America through October. After wrapping up this leg of the tour, Hill came to Europe, where she will stay until the end of the year.

The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill 20th anniversary tour continues in 2019 with shows in South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
