It’s been a few weeks since Lana Del Rey announced she’s working on a spoken word album, but it seems we’ll have to wait for it a little bit longer. The singer announced she’ll have to delay its release due to personal reasons.

The “Born to Die” singer was planning to drop a spoken word album titled Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass on January 4th, but its release had been postponed for the next month following a robbery at her family home.

“Hoping everyone had a great New Years, gonna wait for about a month to put out Violet since we lost about nine days with everything going on – it’s an interesting project though, looking forward to having it out,” Del Rey shared on Twitter.

When she first announced her spoken word album, the singer said she wants it to cost around a dollar, because she loves the idea that thoughts are meant to be shared and that they are priceless. She also revealed that ta portion of the sales will benefit Native American organizations around the country, and described this decision as her own reparative act.
