Kendrick Lamar is one of the world’s biggest music stars, and he has numbers to back it up. According to Touring Data, Lamar’s The Big Steppers Tour has now grossed a total of $100.9 million to become the highest-grossing tour of all time by a rapper.

Touring Data based its claim on the figures reported by Live Nation. The concert promoter said that Lamar sold 929,000 tickets for 73 The Big Steppers Tour shows. The tour’s highest-grossing show was at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, with $2.319 million and 13,900 tickets sold.

Lamar embarked on The Big Steppers Tour in the summer of 2022 to promote his critically acclaimed fifth studio album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. The tour made stops in North America, Europe, and Oceania, and earned praise for concept and stage production as well as Lamar’s performance.

The second show at Accor Arena in Paris, France, was turned into a concert film Kendrick Lamar Live: The Big Steppers Tour. The film was directed by Mike Carson, Dave Free, and Mark A. Ritchie, while Academy Award-winning actress Helen Mirren provided the narration.

Kendrick Lamar will continue The Big Steppers Tour in the summer of 2023 with a series of appearances at music festivals in Europe, the United States, and Canada.
