It’s been less than a year since Jack Harlow dropped his last studio album, and its follow-up is just around the corner. The Grammy-nominated rapper announced the surprise release of his third studio album Jackman and we’ll get to hear it in full this Friday!

Harlow took to social media to announce the release of his new album on April 28. This LP will be released via Generation Now and Atlantic, and it clearly references the rapper’s full name Jackman Thomas Harlow, but he didn’t share any additional details about this record.

This announcement was quite a shocker for the rapper’s fans since it’s been a while since he dropped any new music. He seemed busy promoting his acting debut in the upcoming remake of the sports comedy White Men Can’t Jump, also starring Sinqua Walls.

Seeing Harlow tease a new album also comes as a surprise since it’s been less than a year since he released his sophomore album Come Home the Kids Miss You. This record debuted at no. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, and produced hit singles “Nail Tech” and “First Class”, which became his first solo song to hit No. 1 in the US.
