Actor Idris Elba turned his focus to music lately, resulting in plenty of new tracks and a collaboration with superstar rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
Elba, who has been involved in the music world as a DJ, rapper, and producer, discussed the project with Mista Jam of Capital FM.
“I’m putting out quite a bit of music,” he said in a recent interview. “I’ve been focused in, coming out of last year into this year, trying to put more music out.”
Elba didn’t want to go into details or offer release dates but said that fans should “expect more” and went on to list a few collaborations.
“I’ve got a sneaky tune with Megan Thee Stallion and Davido. Shout out to the fanatics,” he added.
Elsewhere in the interview, Elba also said that he would like to work with Taylor Swift on a song in the future. The duo previously worked together on the 2019 movie Cats, while a snippet from one of Elba’s interviews was used as a sample in Swift’s “London Boy.”
Idris Elba’s most recent release was the freestyle single “Gospel 21,” which dropped earlier this year. In 2020, Elba presented a number of collabs, including tracks with The Knocks and Tiggs Da Author.
