Skrillex always finds ways to do something cool with the songs he remixes, and it wasn’t any different with his latest project, Travis Scott’s smashing hit collab with Drake “Sicko Mode.”

Although the EDM superstar didn’t mess around with the basic idea of the song, he did make it sound even more massive than it already did by adding distorted bass and loud drums all over the track while throwing in a dash of extra synths.

While the final result doesn’t sound too much different from the original, it still carries Skrillex’s recognizable staple, and it has all the traits of a real club hit.

Featuring guest appearances by Drake, Swae Lee, and Big Hawk, “Sicko Mode” was released back in August as the second single from Travis Scott’s third studio album Astroworld. The track samples The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Gimme the Loot,” and was produced by Rogét Chahayed and Hit-Boy among others. It was well received by the critics, who called the song “album highlight,” and “mini-suite of bangers.”

“Sicko Mode” also enjoyed considerable commercial success, peaking at No.2 at Billboard 100 while reaching top 10 in five other countries. It was certified two times platinum in both Canada and the United States.
