We’ll always be suckers for fun music videos that give us a great nostalgic punch, and that’s exactly what Hayley Kiyoko delivered with her latest video for the new single “She”.

The singer’s latest video is jam-packed with 2000s references and sees her hanging out inside her childhood bedroom. It shows her enjoying a bunch of different activates we all did during our teen years while no one was watching, like trying on a bunch of different outfits and dancing to the beats of our favorite song.

It was only fitting for this track to come with a video that takes us back to her childhood since she spent her teenage years hiding her true self, but learned how to fully embrace who she was and how to turn her dreams into a reality.

She is an unofficial anthem to keep me going through the hard times when I’m unsure of myself. I wrote this song as a tribute to embracing your dreams and being unafraid to live fully in your truth without regrets,” Kiyoko told MTV.

“She” will be one of the songs featured on her next record I’m Too Sensitive For This Sh–, which still doesn’t have an official release date.
