Guns N’ Roses have been around since the ‘80s, but they never performed in Hawaii before. That’s about to change during their Not In This Lifetime tour, and they’re donating a portion of the proceeds to a very special charity.

The legendary band will partner up with the Andy Irons Foundation, a charity created in honor of the late surfing legend, who won three world titles in this sport between 2002 and 2004. His wife Lyndie Irons created this organization after he passed away in 2010, and said it’s an honor to see Guns N’ Roses supporting it.

“As Andy sought solace through music, my goal with the Andy Irons Foundation is to offer hope and vital programs for young people struggling with mental illness, drug abuse, and learning disabilities. I am truly grateful for such an amazing experience with one of Andy’s all-time favorite bands,” said Lyndie Irons.

Her husband was a passionate fan of this band and the couple even named their son after frontman Axl Rose. He’ll turn eight on December 8 – the day of Guns N’ Roses historic concert at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.
