The Foo Fighters are getting ready to go back to touring for the first time since Taylor Hawkins’ tragic passing, and it seems they might be performing some new music on tour. The band teased a mystery project with a brief clip on social media that features a snippet of new music.

The 13-second snippet features a white background with faint gray reading, “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” As the words appear on the screen, riff-driven music plays in the background, potently teasing the band’s new album or at least a single.

Foo Fighters haven’t released any new music following the death of their longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins last year. They canceled their remaining tour dates and only performed tribute concerts in the wake of this tragedy, before announcing they’ll keep performing together.

“Without Taylor, we never would have become the band that we were – and without Taylor we know that we’re going to be a different band going forward… We know that when we see you again – and we will soon – he’ll be there in spirit with all of us every night,” said Foo Fighters in a statement in December last year.

Foo Fighters will go back to touring this spring, and they’ve announced a series of tour dates that will keep them on the road until October.
