The veteran alternative rockers who are expected to release a new album sometime this year have announced on their Twitter account that they are launching a new beer, named after their own Dia de los Deftones concert:

“Introducing our 2019 #DiaDeLosDeftones x @BelchingBeaver beer, hitting select distributors in CA tomorrow, 8/17,” reads the announcements. “This limited release Mexican Lager will soon be available in other US & international markets.”

Deftones have collaborated with Belching Beaver Brewery several times in the past to create limited beer editions, with their 2018’s creation Phantom Bride available year-round. Belching Beaver’s site describes Phantom Bride as “named after the ethereal song by the one and only Deftones, Phantom Bride IPA is a blend of Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops delicately balanced for the perfectly drinkable mix of citrus and hoppy goodness.”

They go on to refer to it as “a truly original Deftones/ Belching Beaver collaboration envisioned by Chino Moreno and skillfully crafted by Thomas Peters,” and advise that proper usage is to “sit back, put on your headphones and drink away.”

Deftones will host their second Dia de los Deftones concert on November 2nd in San Diego. Supporting them, among others, will be Gojira, JPEGMAFIA, Youth Code and Brutus. What better way to enjoy the show than sipping down a cold, refreshing, Deftones beer?
