After previously announcing a tour across Asia and the United States, Explosions in the Sky are preparing one more 20th-anniversary surprise for their fans.

The American post-rockers recently announced that they will be reissuing their debut record How Strange, Innocence as well as 2005’s The Rescue. Both albums will become available on vinyl and digital platforms for the first time on August 16th.

How Strange, Innocence LP is available as dark blue and light blue or black vinyl edition and will come with a gatefold jacket. The original album was originally released in 2000, receiving favorable reviews from the critics. The record was already reissued in 2005 in order to accommodate the fans’ wishes.

The Rescue is considered to be a conceptual album, being inspired by the band’s touring experiences. The album was recorded and mixed in just two weeks, but still garnered positive reactions from fans and critics. The vinyl reissue of the record comes as standard black vinyl and orange one.

Explosions in the Sky are set to kick off their celebratory tour across the United States with a show in Mesa on September 11th. The group will spend approximately a month and a half on the road before wrapping up the trip with a show in Oklahoma City on October 24th.
