Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road will come to a close this weekend, and it’s still breaking records. John’s final tour took him all around the world in the past five years, becoming the highest-grossing tour of all time and the first to cross the $900 million mark.

After passing Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour to become the highest-grossing tour of all time, Farewell Yellow Brick Road set another major record. According to Billboard Boxscore, this tour amassed a staggering $910.4 million in gross revenue as of June 18, becoming the first tour ever to break the $900 million barrier.

This news comes shortly after John’s historic performance at the iconic Glastonbury Festival, which marked his final UK show. He described it as a fitting way to say goodbye to his British fans and thanked his fans for supporting his show at the Pyramid Stage.

“The energy last night was like nothing else, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the crowd and the people watching at home for all your love and support. You will be in my heart and soul forever. UK, what a farewell. I love you,” wrote John on Instagram after Glastonbury.

Farewell Yellow Brick Road kicked off back in September 2018, and it includes over 300 concert dates, with the last one taking place in Stockholm, Sweden on July 8.
