Christina Aguilera wrapped up 2023 with two concerts in Las Vegas, but her residency hit an unexpected setback. The pop superstar was forced to reschedule her Las Vegas residency dates because she needs to take some to recover from the flu.

Aguilera hit the stage at the Venetian Resort’s Voltaire on December 30 and 31 and blew the audience away with her career-spanning set. Her second residency has been described as a musically dynamic and immersive piece of art that celebrates her vocal prowess in a seductively cozy environment.

Aguilera thanked the fans who attended the first two shows and said she couldn’t think of a better way to bid farewell to 2023 than spending the night in Las Vegas, surrounded by their energy and enthusiasm. Unfortunately, she had to share some bad news just a few days later, revealing that she was postponing some of the dates due to illness.

“After welcoming you all to the New Year from the stage in Las Vegas. I’ve been welcomed with a new year flu!!! I am sorry to share that my two shows this weekend will be rescheduled while I rest – and I cannot wait to be back on that stage in a few weeks,” wrote Aguilera on Instagram.
