Dean Bernardini has been a crucial member of Chevelle for over a decade, but his run with this band is coming to an end. He announced his decision to step down after the conclusion of the upcoming tour to focus on his family and other passions.

Bernardini released an official statement announcing his departure and explained he decided to take a break from the road to spend time at home with his family and focus on his art and furniture business.

“I consider myself lucky to have been a part of Chevelle & have shared the stage with such incredible musicians. These past 15 years & 6 albums have been amazing to be a part of. I will be finishing out this year’s remaining shows on stage with my brothers and bandmates,” wrote Bernardini.

Bernardini joined the band in 2005, after Joe Loeffler’s departure and served as bassist and backing vocalist for Chevelle for almost 15 years. He’ll hit the road with the band during their North American tour this fall, and concert at the Horseshoe Tunica in Robinsonville, Mississippi on December 14th will be his last.
