The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame finally announced the Class of 2024, and the list of acts that made the cut is pretty epic. Cher, Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, and Ozzy Osbourne are among the inductees who’ll be honored at the ceremony in October.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors “artists who have created music whose originality, impact, and influence has changed the course of rock and roll”, and their performer category includes eight honorees this time around.
Cher was nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the first time this year, after publicly calling out the organization for never taking her into consideration. Just a few months ago, she told Kelly Clarkson, “I wouldn’t be in it now if they gave me a million dollars.”
Cher is yet to publicly address her induction, but Mary J. Blige and Ozzy Osbourne are among the honorees who expressed gratitude to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They’ll be inducted alongside Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & The Gang, and A Tribe Called Quest.
The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on October 19, and it will air live on Disney+.
