Last night (June 18), Lizzo gave her debut televised award ceremony performance at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
She performed her fabulous single “Juice” from her empowering debut album Cuz I Love You. As expected, Lizzo pulled out all the stops. Surrounded by backing dances, Lizzo dropped in a Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit reference and had all her dancers wait before instructing them to take off their robes. Lizzo followed suit by ripping off her robes and revealing a saucy denim number.

The performance was a real highlight of the evening, which saw the likes of Sandra Bullock and Josh Brolin take home awards for their performances in the last year.
Lady Gaga also took home yet another award for her stunning performance in A Star Is Born. After she received an Academy Award for Best Original Song, it’s no surprises that MTV also hailed her as one of the year’s superstars.
