It’s only been a few months since Charli XCX’s latest album came out, and she’s already working on its follow-up. The singer is using her time in self-isolation to get creative, and she’s almost done writing her next record.
Charli XCX shared the news with her fans on Twitter in one of her “self-quarantine diary entries” and said she’s been thinking how to be creative during this difficult time and put it to some good use.
“I had one song left to write and then it was all about finishing and production and artwork etc. obviously things have slowed now but I do feel excited to wrap this up and be releasing new music soon, of course only when it’s ready,” wrote the singer.
Charli XCX also revealed she was almost finished with the process of writing her album before her self-quarantine, but it will take some to finalize it completely in the light of the current situation. Her latest LP Charli came out back in September, and it featured collaborations with Lizzo, Sky Ferreira, and Troye Sivan.
