Cardi B went viral with her amazing performances at the Grammy Awards, which gave a boost to her latest single “Up”. Only a week later, this song soared to no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and transformed her into the first female rapper with multiple solo singles to top the chart.

Cardi B currently has five no. 1 singles in the U.S., making her the female rapper with most songs atop the chart. What makes “Up” different than most is that it doesn’t feature any accompanying artists. Together with “Bodak Yellow”, this is her second solo single to hit no. 1, and no other female hip-hop artist in history managed to achieve that feat.

Cardi B celebrated this historic success with a series of Instagram posts and stories, and she captioned one of them by writing, “I want God to come see me in my dreams when I take my nap today so I can kiss his feet and tell him how much I love him!!! I got no words.”

The Grammy-winning rapper also said she’s currently in “military studio album mode” and set high expectations for her sophomore album. In addition to “Up”, this record is also expected to feature her chart-topping single “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion.
