Cardi B is no stranger to A-list collaborations, but she took things to a whole new level with her latest song. After a lot of anticipation, the Grammy-winning rapper dropped a new single “Hot Sh-t” this week, featuring verses from Kanye West and Lil Durk.

This song was a long time coming and Cardi B revealed it was recorded before her Megan Thee Stallion collaboration “WAP”. She recorded the music video back in March, but the post-production is taking so long that she decided to share the song with the world first.

“This video has brought me so much drama. So this is the first time I ever do CGI. I’m very particular on how I like my things, and I really like when things look super realistic… I couldn’t maneuver or move how I wanted to, because I was very confused,” Cardi B told Zane Lowe.

She also dished about Kanye West’s verse, saying that he wrote it a few months ago, adding that she loves that it’s personal, but not too personal.

“Hot Sh-t” will be featured on Cardi B’s upcoming second studio album, which still doesn’t have a title or release date. This record was a long time in the making, and its previous singles “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and “Up” have been released in the past two years.
