Olivia Rodrigo made quite a splash when she dropped her debut album Sour about a year ago, and she’s still not done breaking records with this LP. Sour made it back to the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart this week, becoming the longest-running top 10 debut album of the 21st century.

Sour was originally released on May 21, 2021 and spent five weeks atop the Billboard 200, becoming the longest-reigning number-one album by a female artist in 2021. As if that wasn’t enough, this LP kept coming back to the top 10 time and time again, setting a major record along the way.

With 52 nonconsecutive weeks spent in the top 10, Sour became the longest-running debut album in the top 10 on the Billaboard 200 chart this century. It broke the record previously held by Lady Gaga’s first album The Fame, which spent 51 nonconsecutive weeks in the top 10 between 2009 and 2017.

Since its release last year, Sour produced two no. 1 singles “Good 4 U” and “Drivers License”, while “Deja Vu” and “Traitor” made it to the top 10. It also won Rodrigo three Grammys, including the award for the best pop vocal album, and she’s currently busy promoting it with the Sour Tour across North America and Europe.
