the video for the collaboration plays out like a scene from Grease, and it sees Cardi and Mars hanging out with their friends in an after-hours taco joint in Los Angeles. The four-minute long clip features several epic dance numbers, a lot of flirting and a couple of vintage cars.
Cardi B and Bruno Mars first collaborated on the remix of his song “Finesse”, and he was really impressed by the Bronx rapper from the moment she walked into the room.
“You possess something that can’t be taught. You’re a true star. Thank you for putting your energy and love all over this record and video. Never change, Cardi! Don’t let this crazy music business change who you are,” wrote Mars on Instagram shortly after meeting Cardi to record their first song together.
