BTS made a big splash with their new EP, Map of the Soul: Persona, which is shaping up to be the record of many firsts. The K-pop boy band set several major milestones with the album, which debuted at no. 1 spot of the Billboard 200 chart.

If you think this is the most impressive achievement of Map of the Soul: Persona, think again. BTS became the first Korean act to top the charts in both the US and the UK thanks to this record, and that’s just the start.

By debuting at the no. 1 spot, Map of the Soul: Persona transformed BTS into one of the very few bands to have three number-one albums in less than a year.  They’re joining the ranks of The Beatles and The Monkees, who achieved the same decades ago.

To make the whole thing even better, every song from BTS’s new EP debuted in the Billboard Top 40. Lead single “Boy With Luv” debuted at no. 8 – the highest ranking by any K-pop band to date.
