Blink-182 Cancels Fall Tour Dates Due to Travis Barker’s Health Issues

Blink-182 will have to take a break from touring in the fall following the health issues of their drummer Travis Baker. In the following months, the band supposed to make up for the previous cancellations which happened due to the fact that Baker was diagnosed with blood cloths. Unfortunately, he wasn’t cleared by the doctors in time, and Blink-182 announced they wouldn’t be able to do any of the upcoming shows.

The punk rockers supposed to play at several festivals, including Riot Fest in Chicago. After their cancellation, bands Weezer, Run the Jewels, and Taking Back Sunday stepped in to replace them. However, Blink-182 promised that they would be back for the 2019 edition.

The band was also scheduled to continue their Las Vegas residency in fall and play shows that were postponed due to Baker’s health issues.

“It is with a heavy heart to report that blink must cancel its fall mini-tour which was set to kick off September 8th on their way to headline Riot Fest in Chicago.” – wrote the band in a statement posted on Facebook. “Medical issues have sidelined Travis per doctors’ orders. Trav’s medical team anticipated that he would be well enough by fall to tour, but after recent checkups, they were not able to clear him in time for the scheduled run of dates.”
