One debut album we have particularly been looking forward to this year is Billie Elish.

From what we have heard of Billie so far, she uses her gorgeous voice and talent to get real about pain and suffering. When it comes to opening up about struggles with mental health, she holds nothing back. Perhaps this is why fans often comment on her videos that they “feel her pain” and are “crying along with her”.

In an interview with Apple Music’s Beats, Eilish said of her debut record: “The album is basically what happens when you fall asleep. For me, in every song in the album there’s sleep paralysis. There’s night terrors, nightmares, lucid dreams.”

She continued: “I’ve always had really, really bad night terrors. I’ve had sleep paralysis five times. All my dreams are lucid so I control them. I know that I’m dreaming what I’m dreaming, so I don’t even know. Sometimes I’ll have dreams where the thing that was in my dream will happen the next day. It’s so weird. Its’ so weird.”
