We finally received some updates on Billie Eilish’s highly-anticipated third studio album. According to her brother and producer Finneas, the record is “85% done”.

Finneas shared the news during a recent interview for British lifestyle brand MR PORTER. He also offered some insights into the process of making the album.

“I don’t think Billie was particularly sure about how she actually felt about the things we were trying to write about,” Finneas explained. “Making a thing that you feel really connected to – it can really evade you.’”

Billie Eilish released her most recent studio effort, Happier Than Ever, back in 2021. Finneas was credited as a co-writer on all of the tracks while also producing the record and playing all instruments. The album received critical acclaim while topping the charts in more than 20 countries, including US Billboard 200 and UK Album.

The sister-brother duo more recently collaborated on the song “What Was I Made For?,” which was part of the soundtrack for the hit movie Barbie. The song reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and No. 1 on UK Singles while being nominated for five Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year categories.
