K-pop sensation BLACKPINK will wrap up their successful year with a one-of-a-kind event. The group just revealed a trailer for their upcoming virtual concert BLACKPINK: A VR Encore, which is scheduled to air on December 26th on virtual reality platform Meta Horizon Worlds.

BLACKPINK: A VR Encore was captured at BLACKPINK’s final show of the Born Pink Tour at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea, earlier this year. The trailer shows part of the exciting atmosphere of the concert while promising fans a “first row seats” experience.

“Filming our upcoming VR concert in the heart of Seoul has added an extra layer of magic to this project,” BLACKPINK said in a statement. “It’s where it all began for us, and being able to share this unique experience with our fans around the world feels incredibly special.”

Fans who want to tune in for BLACKPINK: A VR Encore will be able to do so through Meta Horizon Worlds on December 26th at 5:00 pm PST. The virtual concert will be free for all users but will require the use of a Meta Quest VR headset. K-pop fans who miss out on the premiere will be able to watch a replay through the end of January 2024.

BLACKPINK recently made headlines due to an expiring contract with their agency, YG Entertainment. The two sides were engaged in negotiations for months before extending their relationship in early December. Announcing the news, YG Entertainment confirmed that the group will soon begin to work on a new album, followed by a world tour.
