Almost a year since sharing her latest album Renaissance with the world, Beyoncé is still breaking new ground with this record. Its second single “Cuff It” became her longest-charting song on the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist, after 34 weeks on the chart.

“Cuff It” surpassed “Telephone”, Beyoncé’s 2010 collaboration with Lady Gaga to become her longest-charting solo song on the Billboard Hot 100. The singer is only one week away from tying her all-time career record, held by Destiny’s Child’s hit song “No, No, No”, which spent 35 weeks on the summit back in 1997-98.

The list of Beyoncé’s longest-charting Hot 100 hits also includes “Halo” with 31 weeks on the chart and “Irreplaceable” with 30, which also topped the Hot 100 and remained at no. 1 for ten consecutive weeks.

“Cuff It” was released as the second single from Renaissance, following the success of the lead single “Break My Soul”. It peaked at no. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 before winning a Grammy for the best R&B song. The viral “Wetter Remix” which mashes it up with Twista’s “Wetter” led to an increase in its popularity, and Beyoncé seized the momentum by officially releasing the remix with new vocals and lyrics in February.
