Our list of best new songs of the week isn’t loaded with big names like the last time, but that doesn’t mean we are less sure in our picks. On the contrary.

Among the highlights is the new song from Arcade Fire’s multi-instrumentalist Will Butler, who gave fans an insight into his upcoming solo record Generations with new single “Close My Eyes.” Then there is a catchy and surprisingly relatable tune “Fall a Little More in Love” from rockers The Riptide Movement, Katy Perry’s empowering anthem “What Makes A Woman,” and “Black Eyes Blue” from Slipknot’s Corey Taylor.
