Here is something that we definitely didn’t expect. Goth icons Bauhaus are coming out of retirement this year to play a one-off reunion show in Los Angeles.

The gig will take place at Hollywood Palladium on November 3rd, and will feature all four members of the original lineup: vocalist Peter Murphy, guitarist Daniel Ash, bassist David J, and drummer Kevin Haskins. This will be the group’s first live show in 13 years.

Murphy, who recently recovered from a heart attack, confirmed the gig on his official social media.

Formed in 1978 in Northampton, England, Bauhaus is considered as one of the pioneers of Goth rock. They initially disbanded in 1983 after releasing four studio albums, but have done several reunion tours and shows since then.

The group toured in 1998 for their 20th anniversary and then reformed again in 2005 to perform on Coachella. The one-off show at the festival turned into a lengthy tour as they served as an opening act to Nine Inch Nails in 2006.

Bauhaus also decided to follow up the reunion with a new album Go Away White in 2008 but disbanded again shortly after without doing any kind of promotion.
