Ariana Grande has never struggled to hit number one with each new album she drops, and Positions is no exception. She managed to create a lot of buzz for this surprise album and easily reached the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Positions was released on October 30th, only two weeks after the singer first announced it. With the 174,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week, it reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making this Grande’s third No. 1 album in less than two years and three months, after Sweetener and Thank U, Next.

Grande shared the news on her Instagram page and thanked her fans for their love and support.

“This is my favorite album yet and your response to the music has made my heart so incredibly full, I can’t even begin to fully express how much it means,” wrote the singer on Instagram.

Grande’s sixth studio already produced one No. 1 single with “Positions”, and she released “34+35” as a second single. This record also features high-profile collaborations with Doja Cat, The Weeknd, and Ty Dolla Sign.
