Pop-punk band All Time Low took a brief hiatus after their seventh studio album Last Young Renegade came out in 2017, but they’re finally ready for a comeback. Frontman Alex Gaskarth recently revealed they’ll soon go back to the studio and start working on their next LP.

Gaskarth discussed the future of the band on an episode of The Music Podcastwhile promoting his side project Simple Creatures. He explained why All Time Low went on a break after their last album, but made it clear they’re ready for a comeback.

“We just felt like maybe we’d pummelled people over the head with it too much. It was the right moment to take a step back and re-evaluate what the next iteration of All Time Low would be and so we’ve started digging into demos and new music is taking shape,” said Gaskarth.

He thinks the album will definitely be out by 2020, but added they don’t want to force it and won’t release any new material until they feel it’s ready.
