Next time you walk down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, you’ll have the opportunity to see the star of one of the world’s most famous rock band, Aerosmith. Hollywood Chamber of Commerce recently issued a statement confirming that American rockers will get recognized as under the recording category and will be presented with the 2,657th star at HWOF.
The unveiling of Aerosmith’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame will take place on February 14th in front of Musicians Institute at 6752 Hollywood Boulevard. The ceremony will be streamed live on the HWOF’s official website.
“Finally! We have been waiting a long time to honor Aerosmith with their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” – said producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Ana Martinez. “Aerosmith is one of the greatest rock bands in the world and we expect many fans will be ‘Crazy’ excited to see them honored!”
After toying with the idea of doing their farewell tour, Aerosmith decided to continue rocking indefinitely and even hinted at the possibility of recording their sixteenth studio album in the near future. Until then, the band will take on a Las Vegas residency, which will see them playing 18 shows in April, June and July 2019 at the MGM Grand’s Park Theater.
