It’s been five years since Adele dropped her last album, but it seems she’s finally ready for a comeback. She previously teased a 2020 release for her next record, and it turns out we’ll have to wait until September to hear it in full.

Adele didn’t put out any official statements regarding the release of her new album, but footage from her friend’s wedding sees her telling the crowd to expect her next album in September.

The ceremony in question took place last weekend, and it saw the British singer officiating the wedding between friend Laura Dockrill and former Maccabees member Hugo White.

Her announcement didn’t come out of nowhere. Adele hit the stage to perform a surprise set, which included her smash hit “Rolling in the Deep” and covers of Candi Staton’s “Young Hearts Run Free”, Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love”, and Spice Girls’ “Spice Up Your Life”.

We may know when her album is coming out, but Adele is still keeping us in the dark about everything else. We’re yet to hear her new music, but she previously said that “30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you”.
