Adele spent the past two years in Las Vegas, performing her sold-out residency at Caesars Palace, but she’s getting ready to take a break. The Grammy-winning singer doubled down on her decision to take a prolonged hiatus from music once Weekends with Adele comes to an end.

Adele dropped hints about taking a break from music during the final show of her Munich residency, where she played ten shows at the purpose-built 80,000-capacity arena. She said she’d really enjoyed performing for nearly three years now, but she’s ready to take an indefinite break.

“I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break, and I will fantasize about these shows and any shows that I’ve done over the last three years. It has been amazing, I just need a rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now,” Adele told the audience in Munich.

This isn’t the first time she dropped hints about taking a sabbatical from music. In an interview with German broadcaster ZDF earlier this summer, Adele said she doesn’t “have any plans for new music at all.”

She’ll go back to performing on October 25, when she’ll return to Las Vegas for the run of 10 final shows of Weekends with Adele.
