Dua Lipa won several major awards with her sophomore studio album Future Nostalgia, and she just added a few more to her impressive collection. The British singer led the way at this year’s Brit Awards ceremony and walked away with a total of two awards.
In addition to being named as the best British female solo artist, Lipa also won the trophy for the best British album with Future Nostalgia. She was in the running for the best British single with “Physical”, but lost out to Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar”.
Lipa also performed an explosive medley consisting of songs from Future Nostalgia, which included “Physical”, “Hallucinate”, and “Don’t Start Now”. The list of performers at the Brit Awards included the likes of The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo, and Coldplay.
When it comes to the rest of the major winners, J Hus was named as the best British male solo artist, Little Mix picked up the award for the best British group, while Arlo Parks won in the best breakthrough artist category. Taylor Swift has honored the global icon award, while The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, and Haim dominated the international field.
The 2021 Brit Awards took place on May 11th, with Jack Whitehall hosting for the fourth time in a row.
