The release date of Within Temptation’s new album Bleed Out is just around the corner, and the more we learn about it the more excited we are. The band’s lead singer Sharon den Adel discussed their upcoming LP in a recent interview and described it as an album about freedom.

Sharon den Adel recently set down with Chuck Armstrong on the latest episode of Loudwire Nights and revealed what we can expect from the band’s next album.

“I think it’s an interesting album. It’s an album that’s split in two… This whole album — if you look at every song, [they’re all] about freedom. Personal freedom. Freedom of religion. That’s what we’re talking about on this album,” she explained.

Den Adel also revealed that they started writing new music before the pandemic. They were set to embark on a co-headlining tour with Evanescence titled Worlds Collide before COVID-19 derailed their plans, so they kept working on new music to keep themselves busy.

Within Temptation released multiple singles from Bleed Out, including “Entertain You”, “The Purge”, “Shed My Skin”, “Don’t Pray for Me”, “Wireless”, “Bleed Out”, and “Ritual”. The full album will be released on October 20, and they’ll promote its release by embarking on a European arena tour.
