R&B star SZA already treated us with several impressive covers this year, including a rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “Day Dreaming.” Still, the cover of Wheatus’ hit “Teenage Dirtbag” she saved for her recent Australia shows definitely outdid them all.

SZA performed at Sidney’s Hordern Pavilion on July 19th and then made an appearance on Byron Bay’s Splendor in the Grass festival, and performed “Teenage Dirtbag” on both nights. Judging by the audience’s reaction, she made a really good choice. You can hear it for yourself thanks to fan-made videos below.

This wasn’t all from SZA, as she had a couple of other surprises for her audience. During both shows, “All the Stars” singer also previewed a new song titled “Brace Yourself.” She also told the audience that she is considering releasing the track while being on tour across Australia. Hear the snippet of the song below.

SZA will wrap up her Oceania tour soon, as she only has one show left to play at Auckland’s Spark Arena. This means that we should expect “Brace Yourself” to get out soon. The singer previously released “Power Is Power” which featured The Weeknd and Travis Scott as her first single of 2019.
