The MTV Video Music Awards are coming our way in almost a month and the full list of nominees if finally here. Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande topped it with ten nods each, including a nomination for the best video of the year.
Swift and Grande aren’t the only stars who gave us epic music videos in the last few months. Billie Eilish was close behind with nine nods, while Lil Nas X scored eight nominations with his smash hit “Old Town Road”.
MTV VMAs will be more fun than ever as the network introduced two new categories this year. Best K-Pop category is their way of recognizing the increasing impact of the K-pop music, while Video for Good reminds us that it’s possible for artists to use this medium to send a positive message to the world.
The 2019 MTV VMAs will air live on August 26th, from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco will take on the hosting duties for the first time.
