Pretty much every artist dreams about headlining the Super Bowl halftime show one time, including Usher. The R&B singer recently said he would “be a fool to say no” to headlining the NFL championship if the opportunity ever presented itself.

Usher is no stranger to hitting the Super Bowl stage, but he never got the chance to do it on his own. He joined The Black Eyed Peas back in 2011 and performed the song “OMG” by will.i.am’s side—and he’s been dreaming of going back ever since.

“I’d be a fool to say no. If things line up the way we would all hope, one day that moment would happen. I’ve had the opportunity to graze the stage in support of ‘OMG’ and Will.i.am but that was one moment,” he told Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans.

Usher added he has a catalog that “obviously speaks for itself” and that it would feel good to celebrate it on the Super Bowl stage. He also reflected on some of the iconic halftime show performances while chatting with Evans, and singled out Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s set alongside Eminem, Marry J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar as one of his recent favorites.

Usher hasn’t released a solo studio album since Hard II Love in 2016, but he recently dropped a new single “GLU”, his first in over two years.
