There’s always a lot of anticipation surrounding the Super Bowl halftime show, and this year’s performance lived up to the hype. Usher delivered a show-stopping medley of his biggest hits, and he was joined by several special guests, including Alicia Keys and Ludacris.

Usher was confirmed as a Super Bowl halftime show performer back in September and described this as an honor of a lifetime. Seth Dudowsky, NFL Head of Music, said they picked him to headline the show because he’s an icon whose music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape.

Usher came into the halftime show with high expectations and managed to live up to them. He opened the set with “My Way” and built up the hype with electrifying renditions of “Caught Up” and “U Don’t Have to Call”, before being joined by several guests.

Alicia Keys was the first to hit the stage, joining Usher for “If I Ain’t Got You” and “My Boo”. H.E.R. and will.i.am. followed in her footsteps, while Lil Jon and Ludacris helped Usher close the set with “Turn Down for What” and “Yeah!”

Super Bowl LVIII was held at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada on February 11, and the Kansas City Chiefs clinched their second consecutive Super Bowl trophy.
