2018 has definitely been Travis Scott’s year! He became a proud dad, his album Astroworld debuted at number one and he finally scored his first no. 1 single on Billboard’s list with “Sicko Mode.”

This hit track has been steadily climbing the charts for weeks, but Skrillex gave it the push it needed to reach the top spot. “Sicko Mode” got more exposure thanks to his epic remix, and famous DJ was one of the artists Scott thanked after hearing the good news.

“I don’t know how I’m writing this right now… It’s so many emotions. Just super-thankful to all the fans and supporters. Me and Drake been working to make something so crazy for the kids. It’s dope that one of our illest collaborations just went No. 1. I just want to thank him and the whole OVO fam for everything. And love to Skrillex!” said Scott.

“Sicko Mode” ended up dethroning Ariana Grande’s break-up anthem “Thank U, Next” and she showed Scott some love after hearing of his latest accomplishment. Some of her followers expected her to throw some shade at him, but she said there’s nothing for you to do but celebrate when an artist you’ve been stanning finally gets the recognition they deserved.
