Tierra Whack is one of the most unique artists on the modern hip-hop scene, and her music is always worth waiting for. The visionary rapper is gearing up for the release of her next studio album World Wide Whack, set to be released this March.

The Philly-based rapper teased her upcoming LP by sharing its quirky cover, shot by conceptual artist Alex De Corte. The 17th-century Italian clown Pierrot, fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, and Donna Summer have been listed as inspirations for her new alter-ego.

Whack’s press release described this album cover as “the first reveal of the World Wide Whack character, an alter ego both untouchable and vulnerable, superhuman and painfully human, whose surprising story will unfold in images and video over the course of the album’s visual rollout”.

She also described the World Wide Whack as her debut album and said she hopes her fans will enjoy it as much as she does, but it’s technically her sophomore LP. Her debut studio album Whack World was released in 2018 by Interscope and made it to several lists of best albums that year.

World Wide Whack will be released on March 15, and its first single “Shower Song” will hit the shelves this Friday.
